When a customer submits the survey, Grapevine sends each answer directly into their Klaviyo profile as structured properties. From here, Klaviyo can trigger tailored follow ups based on the preferences collected, helping you deliver more relevant messages and a better experience for every customer.
To do in Grapevine
Start by creating a profile enrichment survey in Grapevine using single or multiple choice questions to capture customer preferences in a structured format.
Connect Grapevine to Klaviyo so each answer can be passed through as a profile property, then make a note of your question codes, as these are used to map responses correctly in your workflows.
To do in Shopify
Create a new workflow in Shopify Flow using the trigger for when a Grapevine survey is completed. From there, add branches for each survey question and define the custom property name you want to store on the customer profile for each answer. This is where you map survey responses into structured data that can be used across your marketing tools. You can also start from a pre-built Flow template and adapt it to match your survey setup.
In our pre-built Flow template (available to download below) the survey example we are using has 4 questions. Add or remove conditions in the workflow based on the number of custom properties that your survey intends to capture.
To do in Klaviyo
Once your survey and Flow are set up, submit a test response to trigger the workflow. Then head to the customer profile in Klaviyo to confirm that each survey answer has been added as a profile property. From there, the data is ready to use for segmentation, personalisation, and automation.
